German Delicatessen In international ranking the traditional German cuisine is not ranked very high, because most people know only a few of the huge number of meals from this country. However there are also a lot of specialities, which are not only called “Delicatessen”. While it is quite easy to buy most of them in a normal store, not all of them can be bought in an online shop. 
It is far to difficult to sell fresh products in an online shop and send them by mail. Of course it is possible in some cases but mostly there are only “prepared” and durable “Delicatessen” offered with this type of trade. For example there are a lot of the famous German saussages which can be bought in an online shop with a good quality. But also differend kinds of desserts like the typical red fruit jelly from the north of the country. Anonther typical speciality of the country is pickled herring like “Bismarkhering” and some other styles. Quality and taste To get such German “Delicatessen” one has to look in special small stores or sometimes in online shops. Many of them are not common to the whole country and only a speciality of a region, so they are not available in every store. In some cases it is also a good idea to prepare such delicatessen at home. But it can also become very difficult and dissapointing. So it is not only easier to buy them but often gives also a better quality and taste. 
Even those who are very familiar with preparing different specialities may not have the experience and the knowledge to prepare them properly.
