German Tea 

A German is certainly not established as a great fan of Tea, so German tea has a quite special position in the country. Most stores and online shops offer normal types of tea packed for one cup. But people who realy interested to enjoy the taste of tea to not rely on those or even on “tea makers” like they use with coffee. The reason therefore is that the “hand made” tea enjoys the relation to have a way much better taste. Although Germany is not a country where tea is grown like in other countries there are still a lot of small stores, shops and online shops offering hight quality tea from all over the world.

Some sorts of tea not as common in the country as they are in other countries. A good example can be the British “Earl Grey” tea with bergamot oil. To get a good tea there are 6 rules which should be used if Tea should become more than a mere afternoon drink.

Rules for Tea

1.)      First you have to choose a good quality of tea. A special store or online shop can not only offer a bigger range of tea but also usually a better quality than a supermarket.

2.)      The water which is used to prepare the tea must not have any “own” taste. Also if preparing a black tea, you have to use boiling water. For other types of tea a temperature of 90°Celsius should be used.

3.)      If the water in the region has a high percentage of calcium carbonate or other substances must be filtered.

4.)      To prepare and to keep a tea warm while it infuses the can should be washed out and heten up with boiling water.

5.)      The amount of tea leaves, to add sugar, milk and lemon is also important but it depends on the individual preferences.

6.)      The space of time to infuse the tea is also very important. But there are a lot of different oppinions how to do this. Some people like a tea infused for two minutes other give them 5 or more minutes.
